We all know Canada has no shortage of amazing places to wine and dine, but did you know every year a panel of national judges compiles a list of their 100 favourite spots across the country? And this year, the timing couldn’t be more perfect as Canada’s restaurants are slowly beginning to reopen!
Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants has announced its sixth annual ranking and it includes 25 Montreal restaurants. And if we’re doing our math right, that means Montreal represents 25 per cent of the entire list!
The ranking published this year is based on nominations from 103 judges, who each submitted a ranked list of their top ten dining experiences of 2019.
Coming in the first place is Alo, a popular contemporary French restaurant located atop a heritage building in downtown Toronto. The Montreal restaurant with the highest ranking is once again Joe Beef, although it did drop one spot from last year.
