Canada Day celebrations in Montreal won’t be the same this year since large gatherings are banned and most events have been cancelled but Montreal has planned a virtual show that will be live-streamed from the Olympic Stadium.

The show will feature a line-up of local artists including Patrick Watson, Charlotte Cardin, Elisapie, Hubert Lenoir, and Martha and Rufus Wainwright.

The 60-minute show, which was prerecorded with no audience present, will be webcast here at 7 p.m.

“Our teams rallied to be able to offer you unique programming with renowned artists,” the website reads. “Stars of the Quebec musical scene took part in this spectacle in an emblematic venue of the city of Montreal.”

The 60-minute webcast of the Canada Day in Montreal event takes place July 1 at 7 p.m. Watch at www.CanadaDayMTL.ca, on Facebook @feteducanadamontreal or Instagram @feteducanadamtl.
