While the 11th edition of the Montreal's annual circus festival is cancelled, the spirit of circus persists…

Like most of the other festivals that typically take place during the summer in Montreal, Montreal's annual circus festival was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping the globe. However, it has now been reported that the team is putting together a series of free outdoor pop-up performances from July 6 to 12. The only catch is the locations are kept secret to prevent large crowds from gathering.

According to Nadine Marchand (artistic director of Montréal Complètement Cirque), a truck called the "Bonheur Mobile" will roll up to alleys, parks, streets and squares in Saint-Michel, Anjou, St. Henri and the Quartier des Spectacles (as well as other neighborhoods) over the next week.

Each event will include up to ten Quebec circus performers who will put on an hour-and-a-half-long show for any unsuspecting Montrealers who happen to be passing.
