The Zoom video-conferencing service went dark for a few hours yesterday morning – just as teachers, students and parents were logging in, some for the first day of school.

The Zoom black out seemed to start at the east coast of the US around 7:30AM and lasted about five hours, anyone who wasn’t already logged on wasn't able to log in. Reports are that by mid-morning Zoom had registered 17,000 complaints.

And while, Zoom says it fixed the problem we still do now know what caused it.
