To say that the decade was an important year for pop culture, would be an understatement. MTV’s Unplugged was broadcast for the first time; Will Smith entered America’s living rooms with Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Cheers started the decade as the number one show with Roseanne not far behind in ratings. Meanwhile, M.C. Hammer was teaching kids how to dance; Paula Abdul was tearing up the Billboard charts and Milli Vanilli was busy making millions by stealing other people’s music. The list of great moments in ‘90s pop-culture is so long that we would be here all day if we named them all— from Mark Wahlberg’s Calvin Klein photoshoot to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and everything in between! Oh yeah, and let’s not forget 1990 was the year that Tim Berners-Lee created the first web server and the foundation for the World Wide Web. Without that, this website might not exist.
