For years, customers have relied on Walmart to lower the cost of an item if a competitor was advertising the same product at a lower price. That will soon come to an end.

Canadians now have less than a month to take advantage of Walmart’s ad-matching program across the country.

The company announced that the long-standing service is coming to an end on October 15.

“Over time, we have seen minimal usage of our Ad Match program, while at the same time the program has been causing delays at the checkout,” director of corporate affairs Adam Grachnik said.

According to the company’s website, stores will still accept coupons and match prices if an in-store product is marked as more expensive to an identical version sold on Walmart’s website.
