Are you having trouble getting out of bed in the morning? Do you have trouble sleeping? If so, you might find this news interesting.
According to a recent study by Mattress Nerd, it takes most people on average, two alarms and a total of 24 minutes to get out of bed each morning.
There are of course a plethora of reasons why most people don’t get enough quality sleep, but two of the top five reasons (based on the survey) is something we actually have total control over.
Not surprisingly, the number one reason is most people tend to watch too much TV (which includes watching videos on your smartphone). In third place is the type of mattress we use. If your mattress is keeping you up at night, or causing you back pain, it is recommended to buy a new mattress as soon as possible. The National Sleep Foundation actually recommends a new mattress every eight years.
Here are the top 5 causes of waking up in a bad mood:
Staying Up Too Late Watching TV = 48%
Negative Event in Personal Life = 38%
Uncomfortable Mattress = 35%
My Partner Tossing and Turning = 33%

Even more interesting are the results from the survey that list the ten things people skip doing when running late.
