Quebec reports 6,554 COVID-19 cases across 1,476 schools

The Quebec government is reporting that there are now 1,476 Quebec schools that have reported at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 since the start of the school year.

Since that time, 4,492 students and 1,224 teachers have been diagnosed with the virus.

As of yesterday, 940 schools are said to be dealing with at least one active case.

The figures published by the education ministry consist of pre-school, elementary, high school, and trade schools throughout the province.

The number of diagnosed infections among students and staff now stands at 6,554 total, with 2,305 active cases; 1,996 of which are in the public sector and 309 in private education.
