Quebec reports 34 more COVID-19 deaths, 871 new cases

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Quebec has fallen below 900 for the first time in more than a week as the health officials added 871 new cases to the provincial total along with 34 new virus-related deaths.

Of the newly added deaths, five occurred over the past day, 25 occurred between October 27 and November 1, and four occurred before October 27.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Quebec has now reached 108,889 along with 6,317 deaths.

Montreal reported the most new cases yet again, with 209, followed by Monteregie (151) Lanaudiere (99) and Quebec City (69).

Hospitalizations also increased by 27. There are now 526 people receiving treatment for COVID-19 across Quebec hospitals. Of those in hospital, 85 are in the intensive care ward.
