Canadian singer The Weeknd will be performing Super Bowl 2021 half-time show. NFL, Pepsi and Roc Nation announced Thursday that he will be the headline performer on Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The Weeknd confirmed the news with a post of a photo of himself with the half-time show logo on twitter to announce the news.

Last years performance by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira was watched by over 104 million people.

We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position...I'm humbled, honoured and ecstatic to be the centre of that infamous stage.

The Super Bowl half-time show is one of the most prestigious gigs in music, with previous headliners including Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
