Michael B. Jordan has been honoured with the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive.
The 33-year-old said it was a "cool feeling" to be inducted into the prestigious club that includes previous winners John Legend, Idris Elba, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Hemsworth, and revealed his friends used to joke he would never win the title.
"You know, everybody always made that joke, like, ‘Mike, this is the one thing you’re probably not going to get.' But it’s a good club to be a part of," he smiled to People.
The actor, who has become one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, said the women – especially his late grandmother – in his family would be proud of his achievement.
"When my grandmother was alive, it was something that she collected, and then my mom naturally reads it a lot and my aunts as well. This is one that they’re definitely going to have a special place for," he quipped.
And the Black Panther star hopes to use the publicity surrounding his win to focus on important issues, including the Black Lives Matter movement and voting in the U.S. election.
"I think there’s a time and a place for everything," Jordan explained. "I’ve been picking my moments to make the most impact. We can all take action – big or small – to help create the change we want to see."
The big reveal was made during Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the Creed actor disguised himself by wearing a hazmat suit while the funnyman host tried to guess his identity.
