No surprise, 1/3 of Canadians have reported gaining weight during this pandemic and yes, many of us are eating more and exercising less and it’s not just because we’re lazy or bored.

  • Grabbing comfort food really can be to deal with pandemic-related anxieties.

people in this survey who said they were “very afraid” of COVID-19 were more likely to report gaining weight, eat more, and exercise less. Basically, the more anxiety you have, the more likely you are to eating more.

So, yes – boredom plays a factor, but if we can find ways to manage our anxiety it could also help manage that extra covid-weight – it’s also hoping for happier days to come.
