Google has released its list of the top trending searches for 2020, and as one might expect, “coronavirus,” and “Zoom” led the way both in Canada and the United States. What is surprising, however, is that Quebecers spent quite a bit of time also searching for information on the U.S. elections and Kobe Bryant.
It is important to remember that these aren’t necessarily the top searches or most-searched topics but rather, they’re trending topics that had a high spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2020 compared to the year before.
