Lizzo has shared a series of nude photos on social media as she denied she starved herself during a smoothie cleanse.
The Juice singer recently posted a clip on Instagram and TikTok of her trying a detox programme in an effort to overhaul her health after a stressful few months.
Lizzo was forced to fire back at those who claimed she was promoting dangerous diets, telling her fans and followers that she did the cleanse to feel good about herself after her health and wellbeing was affected by boozing and eating spicy food.
Now, the Grammy-winning singer has taken to social media once again to hit back at her critics, and posted a series of clips and pictures to prove that she was still happy with her figure, whatever her size.
"I detoxed my body and I’m still fat. I love my body and I’m still fat. I’m beautiful and I’m still fat," she wrote on Instagram. "These things are not mutually exclusive. To the people who look to me, please do not starve yourselves. I did not starve myself."
The 32-year-old said she had simply started eating more vegetables and fruit while doing the cleanse, and she's standing by her choices.
"I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy. That was my way. You can do life your way. Remember, despite anything anyone says or does," Lizzo stated. "DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR BODY."
