Many things that were once considered fun have been deemed obsolete, yet the humble board game is still in play today. Additionally, many board games continue to sell well, even decades after they were first released. And when you think about it, it all makes sense since tabletop gaming is a great way to spend time with family and friends.
When you think about the greatest board games ever made, one game that quickly comes to mind is Monopoly. The game is so popular that over the years there have been 1144 versions of the game released so far. We’ve seen everything from Cocktail-Opoly (which features a cocktail theme), to a version inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and even one titled DRINK-A-PALOOZA which mixes everyone's favorite college drinking games and packs them into one. They even made a version inspired by the bible called Bible Bibleopoly.
But of all the versions of Monopoly, the David Bowie Monopoly-themed game is by far my favourite! That’s because the Bowie albums are at the heart of this game. Rather than buying property, your goal is to purchase albums and then charge other players rent for landing on them. Once you own the album, you can also build stages and stadiums to charge extra rent and bankrupt your fellow Bowie obsessives.
Bowie-Opoly was first released in 2020 and sold out right away. However, it is back in stock so if you want a copy, we recommend you act fast.
