Quebec reports lowest COVID-19 case count since September

Quebec reported 561 new cases of COVID-19 earlier today, the lowest daily count since September 23.

Unfortunately, eight new deaths were reported, including three over the previous 24 hours.

Hospitalizations have dropped by 20 on Tuesday, leaving 533 people in care. Of those, 91 are in the intensive care unit.

The daily average increase for the last seven days is now 700.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 298,747 people have caught the virus in the province of Quebec, and 281,436 have recovered.

Premier Francois Legault is expected to announce that red zones will have nightly curfews pushed back to 9:30 pm, during a press conference this afternoon.
