Just in time for Easter!
Are you a fan of Peeps? Are you a fan of Pepsi? If so, we got good news for you. Not only will Peeps be back on store shelves in time for Easter, but the two iconic brands are collaborating on a new drink that combines the two extra-sweet flavors.
The new cola, dubbed "Pepsi x Peeps," mixes the taste of a Pepsi with the "pillowy-soft and sweet" marshmallow flavor of Peeps. That makes it the "ideal accessory and thirst quencher for springtime," according to the companies.
"After what has been a very difficult year, many consumers are looking for new things to smile about. So, to celebrate the start of springtime, Pepsi collaborated with PEEPS® to develop a limited batch of its first-ever marshmallow cola. This PEPSI x PEEPS® collaboration will be available in three bright colors through a distinctive mini-can design and will most certainly have fans buzzing all season long," said Todd Kaplan, VP Marketing – Pepsi. "We know our consumers love our limited product drops, and we believe that PEPSI x PEEPS® will deliver an iconic and delicious pairing that has the potential to become a fan favorite."
The bad news is, the three-pack of 7.5-oz. soda cans which come in blue, pink, and yellow won't be available to buy anywhere.
Yes, you read that right— the companies are not selling the products. Instead, fans can enter the sweepstakes to win some by hashtagging "#HangingWithMyPEEPS" and #PepsiSweepstakes on their social media photos. More specifically, the prompt recommends you share photos enjoying your favorite springtime activities—"in a safe, socially distant manner," of course.
