Forbes released its annual "World's Billionaire List" Tuesday, and according to the magazine, Kim Kardashian West has reached billionaire status. As Queen Kim herself would say: Not bad for a girl with no talent!
According to Forbes, Kardashian West is now worth $1 billion, up from $780 million in October, thanks to two lucrative businesses—KKW Beauty and Skims—as well as cash from reality television and endorsement deals, and other smaller investments.
The magazine determined her wealth using stock prices and exchange rates from March 5, 2021, stating, "We value a variety of assets, including private companies, real estate, art, and more. We don’t pretend to know each billionaire’s private balance sheet (though some provide it). When documentation isn’t supplied or available, we discount fortunes."
It's not the first time the Kardashian-Jenner family has appeared on a Forbes list. The magazine previously made headlines for crowning her younger sister Kylie Jenner the youngest-ever “self-made” billionaire at 21 years old.
The news comes after Kardashian West filed for divorce from Kanye West, citing irreconcilable differences. Kanye himself is worth a reported $6.6 billion.
