Prince Philip has died at the age of 99

At the age of 99, the lifelong companion of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, has died, Buckingham Palace announced Friday in a statement on twitter:

The Duke was married to Queen Elizabeth II for more than 70 years making him the longest-serving consort in British history.
