After several attempts of trying to conceive, Rebecca Roberts and her partner Rhys Weaver, were pleasantly surprised when they first learned that they would be expecting their first-born: baby boy Noah!
Getting ready for little Noah to join their family, it was only at 12 weeks when they noticed on the ultrasound that Noah wasn’t the only one in the womb… Roberts and Weaver learned that they would be expecting a second baby; Noah’s fraternal twin sister, Rosalie.
Shocked by the exciting news, the doctor informed them that the twins were conceived just 3 weeks apart. This extremely rare occurrence is called superfetation and according to a study from 2008, there were less than 10 recorded cases in the world.
In September of 2020, fraternal twins Noah and Rosalie were born. Both babies did have to spend some time in the neonatal intensive care units, however they are doing well and are so happy to have their sibling by their side. According to father Rhys, they love to spend time interacting and talking with one another. A sibling relationship, truly like no other!
