K-pop sensations BTS have been appointed global brand ambassadors of French fashion house Louis Vuitton.
Representatives for the luxury fashion brand announced their new partnership with the South Korean boyband on social media on Friday alongside images of the seven-piece group - comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - modelling menswear designs including colourful shirts, blazers, and tailored shorts and trousers.
"BTS for Louis Vuitton. Joining as new House Ambassadors, the world renowned Pop Icons @bts.bighitofficial are recognized for their uplifting messages that impart a positive influence. Louis Vuitton is pleased to welcome members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook," the announcement reads.
And the Dynamite hitmakers have wasted no time in sharing their creative visions and ideas with Louis Vuitton's men's artistic director Virgil Abloh.
"I am delighted BTS are joining Louis Vuitton today," Abloh said in a statement, reports WWD. "I am looking forward to this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture.
"I can't wait to share all the very exciting projects we are working on."
In their own statement, BTS added, "Becoming global brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton is a truly exciting moment for us. We are excited for our upcoming projects with Virgil Abloh."
The K-pop stars wore suits from Louis Vuitton's F/W 2021 menswear collection to the Grammy Awards in March and appeared in a teaser campaign for the collection in January.
The BTS members are no strangers to being brand ambassadors - they took on the same role for sportswear brand Fila in 2019.
