Jessica Alba and Miranda Kerr are among the stars set to headline the first-ever YouTube Beauty Festival.
Bringing together creators and celebrities, the upcoming virtual event will feature panel discussions, speakers on topics such as diversity, and presentations about the history of beauty on YouTube.
Hosted by Derek Blasberg, YouTube’s head of fashion and beauty, the summit-style festival will include appearances from Honest Beauty co-founder Alba and KORA Organics owner Kerr, as well as Paris Hilton, who is behind the Pro D.N.A skincare line, Millie Bobby Brown, who is the face of the Florence by Mills range, and Pharrell Williams, who launched the Humanrace skincare brand late last year.
"The world of beauty on YouTube is a universe entirely unto itself," said Blasberg."What started as a small community has grown into the largest style video platform in the world. We've seen creators transform from small-town make-up gurus to become their own media empires! I'm especially excited about the creation of YouTube's official beauty festival because it gives us the opportunity to spotlight diverse creators, amplify new and unique voices in the space, and usher in a new era of beauty on the platform where it all began."
Popular YouTube creators such as Emma Chamberlain, Sylvia Gani, Hyram Yarbro, Asia Jackson, Manny MUA, Michelle Phan, and Patrick Starrr will all be taking part, as well as Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change, with more names to be announced at a later date.
“The line-up combines today's hottest trends with a diverse mix of professional perspectives that will enlighten viewers on a variety of industry-specific subjects, from incredibly insightful beauty, wellness, and health tips to important conversations about amplifying diversity and equity across the beauty landscape,” a YouTube representative added.
The YouTube Beauty Festival will kick off on 14 May.
