It’s officially Star Wars Day, and with it comes all sorts of galactic treats to help commemorate every fan’s favorite unofficial holiday: May the Fourth Be with You. And what better way to celebrate the beloved franchise than with a cocktail that's a spitting image of the series’ most popular character, Grogu!
The cocktail, named "Baby Yoda/The Child," was crafted by the Elysian Brewing Company based in Washington and uses a combination of Grey Goose vodka, muddled kiwi, fresh lime, demerara syrup, and bitters, garnished with makeshift "ears" and a burlap wrap that help transform a simple martini glass into a tiny, drinkable Baby Yoda.
Even Jennifer Aniston is a fan of the drink!
Here's what it looks like:
Here's how to make the drink...
Gather these ingredients for a cocktail:
Fresh kiwi puree (blend four kiwis with a little water)
Mezcal (3 ounces or to taste)
Agave syrup (2 ounces or to taste)
Fresh lemon juice (1 ounce or to taste)
Grab a shaker and fill it with ice. Add the ingredients and shake until cold. Sample and adjust to taste.
To complete the Yoda look:
To serve, our drink into a clear glass and decorate with ears and eyes.
The Yoda ears are made of pineapple leaves. Clip the leaves so they stick to the class.
If you don’t have pineapple leaves at home, the skin of a lime or leaf from a house plant will do.
For Yoda’s eyes, dip semi-sweet chocolate chips into a glass/
To finish the look, use a burlap cloth as Yoda’s robe and a cinnamon stick or twig as a walking stick.
