La Grande Roue de Montréal is back this year and this summer there are plenty of new activities to enjoy including yoga, mocktails, children's activities and more. Here is what you can expect via the press release:
The View from the giant Ferris wheel
From the top of its 60 meters, the appeal of Old Montreal is striking with its historic buildings and its nearby Place Jacques-Cartier. Just look up to see the eclectic architecture of downtown, the colors of the city of Montreal, and further away, the famous Mount Royal.
You turn your head and it is the majestic St. Lawrence River that dazzles you with its endless seaway. In the summer, boats and ships of all kinds parade on the waterfront. In the middle of the river, you can see the Sainte-Hélène and Notre-Dame islands and their amazing artistic structures.
Evening or Daylight
Open 7 days a week, every day of the year, rain or shine, the experience is equally exciting day or night. The colorful lights transform the square and create an inviting and festive atmosphere for visitors. Romantic hearts will appreciate the subdued lighting inside the cabins that allows for a better view of the illuminated nighttime panorama of the city, as well as the changing lighting of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge. La Grande Roue de Montréal itself bathes Old Montreal in soft light, making it an ideal photo opportunity.
Varied Summer Program for Everyone
In addition to being an attraction in itself, La Grande Roue de Montréal offers a summer program that will delight everyone. Yoga mornings will be held every Saturday throughout the summer, from the first Saturday in June to Labour Day weekend, starting at 9 a.m., for an outdoor mindful stretching session. Family Sundays will be kid-friendly with rotating street entertainers.
Then the party moves to weekdays for Mocktail Wednesdays. A wide range of original non-alcoholic drinks will be available to enjoy on the premises.
The Secret of Cabin #42!
The 42 comfortable cabins are heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. They are equipped with ultra-clear tempered glass windows for a detailed view of the landscape, while being protected from UV rays. Several interesting packages are offered, including the very popular VIP package in the only cabin equipped with a glass floor and four large Italian leather seats. This is the ultimate experience! The most popular, the family package for two children and two adults, remains a classic. Access to the cabins is adapted for people with reduced mobility and strollers. For this spring and summer, cabins will remain private for each group.

We are immediately drawn by the appetizing aromas emanating from the Café de la Grande Roue where pastries, homemade breads, crepes, decadent sandwiches and colorful salads are on this grab-and-go menu. Also, there are a various hot drink options to accompany the delicious snacks.
Souvenir Photo and Selfies
Once exiting the cabin, a photo booth takes our portrait, which can be purchased at the boutique. The shop has a lot of nice souvenirs to take back home. And, each visit to La Grande Roue de Montréal isn’t complete without a group shot or a selfie in front of the giant sign for a photo to keep or to share!
