Nothing makes driving better than a good playlist and if you’re about to embark on a road trip, you might find this interesting.

Billboard just released a list of the 100 Greatest Car Songs of All Time, and the results are somewhat surprising! Spanning each of the past 10 decades of auto-tunes, most of the choices are of course road-focused, but not all. As they wrote on their website; “we wanted to pay tribute to the car's place in music history as not just a transportation tool but a status symbol, a metaphor for excitement and escape, and a place for whatever backseat business needs to be accomplished”.

Whether you’re absconding on a weekend getaway or braving an outdoor adventure, these songs will help keep your engines roaring.

Below is the list of the top 10 songs to play while on a road trip based on their results! And be sure to visit their website for the full list.
