Just when it seemed like reality TV couldn’t get any stranger...

Are you ready to say goodbye to superficial dating? If so, you might be interested in Netflix’s bizarre new dating show Sexy Beasts, which is best described as Masked Singer meets Love Is Blind.

That’s right folks— Sexy Beasts is the dating show that takes looks completely out of the equation using fantastical, cutting edge prosthetics to transform the daters into animals and other mythical creatures via Hollywood movie prosthetics. And hopefully, in the process, it helps improve the chances that these contestants will find love based purely on personality! I know, crazy right?

Based on the BBC Three format of the same name, the reality series will be released on Netflix globally on July 21. Netflix has also announced a second season, featuring six more episodes, which will be released later this year. The seasons combined will feature 48 different makeup creations in all. Check out the trailer below.

Sexy Beasts joins a growing roster of unscripted originals at Netflix, including The Circle, the aforementioned Love Is Blind, and Too Hot to Handle — all of which have been renewed through Season 3.
