For some people, the two year mark of working from home is just around the corner. Throughout this time, employees have been forced to develop new communication skills that they never thought they’d need to learn before. While some may say this has contributed to their team’s success, most employees wish for there to be even less communication between their colleagues now more than ever…

In a recent survey, 89% of employees say that they believe they would be more productive at work if they had at least one day of no meetings or phone calls. The survey also found the following:

  • 49% of people prefer to have their meetings in-person.
  • 35% of people prefer to have their meetings over video calls, like Zoom.
  • 17% of people prefer to have their meetings over the phone.

The most disliked part of meetings include: arriving on time, waiting for late-comers, meeting fatigue, poor organization, lack of productivity, and so on.

With surveys like these, it makes us question what the future of work-from-home life will entail in the coming years… Will employers reconsider their methods of communication? What new technology will be presented before us?

Whatever the future holds, one thing we know for sure… WE WANT LESS MEETINGS!
