The Stanley Cup finally made its way back to Canada - and this time it got quite the Montreal experience…

The Lightning's Mathieu Joseph, a Montreal-born player, came back to celebrate his team’s major win in the city earlier this week. Despite playing for last season’s rivals, Joseph gave the Stanley Cup quite the Montreal experience by eating a giant poutine out of the top of the bowl… Now that’s how you celebrate!

While we’re certain that the Stanley Cup has gone through some of the craziest experiences - this one we’re almost certain has never happened before.

According to MTL Blog, “Lightning player Alex Killorn took the Cup to his hometown of Beaconsfield and the municipality of Saint-Narcisse-de-Beaurivage announced on Facebook that Yanni Gourde, now of the Seattle Kraken, will bring the Cup to the town on Tuesday.”

If you could eat out of the Stanley Cup, what Montreal poutine would you consider? Warning: this may be too hard to decide...
