Every year, one of the most exciting Halloween events that you can attend here in Montreal is without a doubt, The Montreal Halloween Ball, which features a screening of one of America’s favourite cult classic films, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Over the years, the event has brought thousands of dedicated movie fans to the theatre to show off their love and passion for one of the most iconic films ever made— and after taking a year off (because of you know what), the largest Rocky Horror Picture Show event in North America is back!
This year, things will be slightly different, unfortunately. In order to adhere to health measures, the ensemble of actors will not be performing on a stage as the 1975 cult classic plays on screen. And according to the website, there will also be no rice, confetti, toast, toilet paper, water pistols, props, or outside food or drink allowed inside the theatre.
If you’ve attended the event in the past, you know that is a huge shift from what we normally see but the good news, however, is guests can still dress up and we assume you can expect the usual callouts in which the audience yells out a phrase in response to the movie's lines and sings along!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show Montreal Halloween Ball will take place on Halloween, on Sunday, October 31 at Dollar Cinema, located inside Décarie Square (203-6900 Décarie Boulevard) at 7 pm.
