A small area of Drummondville (less than an hour and a half outside Montreal), is transforming into a charming Christmas village, decked out in 25,000 Christmas lights!
It’s called Le Village illuminé Desjardins and it kicks off December 3 to 4 from 6 pm to 10 pm followed by the weekend of December 11 to 12. And if you can’t make those dates, don’t worry because from December 18 to January 2 (excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day), the village will be hosting several activities for your entire family to enjoy
According to the website, the site will be equipped with animated displays and open fireplaces where they will be serving hot cocoa for kids and mulled wine for adults. There will also be a magnificent sleigh ride in the village, absolutely free and a doughnut shop for your sweet tooth! There’s also a general store where you can stock up on some unique gifts and a Christmas market selling soaps, chocolates, crafts, and products made from recycled materials.
Le Village illuminé Desjardins is located on 1425 rue Montplaisir, Drummondville.
Admission is free for kids aged two and under and $15 for children aged three to 12. Teens pay $16.09 and the cost per adult is $20. A family pass is available for $50.
