Looks like Netflix Canada will be increasing their subscription prices!
While, yes, the basic plan will remain at $9.99, their upgraded plans like standard and premium will be increasing in pricing in 2022.
According to a Netflix Canada spokesperson, “We understand people have more entertainment choices than ever and we’re committed to delivering an even better experience for our members. We’re updating our prices so that we can continue to offer a wide variety of quality entertainment options. As always we offer a range of plans so members can pick a price that works for their budget”.

The Standard plan will be increasing from $14.99 to $16.49, and the Premium plan will increase from $18.99 to $20.99.
According to their website, these new prices currently only apply to new members. However, the increase in costs will gradually take into account for existing members. They will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email.
