Are you really a Montrealer if you’re not a fan of sushi?
According to Chef’s Pencil, an international food magazine based out of Australia, Montreal came in second place in Canada when it comes to most sushi-crazed cities in the world… A proud second place nevertheless.
“Montreal was the only other Canadian city to make this list, coming in at 11th with a popularity score of 62, making it the second most sushi-crazed destination in North America.”
Sushi has grown to be such a huge craze that Japan’s most internationally famous dish had ranked 5th place among the most shared foods on Instagram, just behind ice cream and pizza.
From all-you-can-eat to fancy sushi restaurants, Montreal has definitely got it covered. Whether the admiration comes from its simple physical beauty to its flavourful taste… Sushi is one of those comfort foods that just keeps on giving.
