Despite the latest lifting of COVID-19 measures, it is normal that we may still have the lasting effects of COVID-19 fatigue.

For many people, feelings of anxiety and depression have increased over the course of the last two years. While some may have found their own groove throughout this new way of living, some are still struggling to ease their emotions with the entire pandemic… That’s why many people are turning to yoga and meditative practices.

According to Today, “The physical health benefits of yoga are well-known among practitioners, but more and more Americans are reaping the benefits of yoga for their mental health and emotional wellbeing as well.”

Yoga focuses on being mindful throughout the entirety of its practice. By doing regular asana or physical exercises, you become more in control of your body and breathing - allowing you to learn how to be more in control of your thoughts and emotions.

According to Ira Trivedi, a yoga teacher and bestselling author, “Meditation takes a lot of preparation. You are working with your energies when you do postures in yoga, which in return aid you in creating a mental state for meditation.”

Through yoga and meditation, you slowly become more and more mindful in your everyday life, which allows you to feel more happy and content… Even prepares you to handle unexpected situations and how to react in a more calm and mindful way.
