Brooke Shields has demonstrated her crimping technique in a fun 1980s-inspired hair tutorial.

The Suddenly Susan actress took to Instagram on Sunday to upload a clip titled Back to the '80s.

With Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun as the background track, Brooke proceeded to show fans exactly how she used to crimp her famous brunette locks as a youngster.

"I found my Brooke Shields Hair Crimp Equipment that we did in the '80s," she began, before explaining her top tips for achieving the retro look. "Take smaller sections. Try to get it close, that's the key."

Reflecting on the finished look, Brooke exclaimed, "That's cool!"

Recently, the star opened up about her daily beauty routine in a video for Vogue.com and shared that her skincare regimen has changed drastically over the course of her career.

"When I was younger... I was really brutal on my skin as a kid because I had to wear so much make-up and I was always taking my make-up off. As I got older, if I don't have to wear make-up, I don't," the 56-year-old commented.
