The Pointe-à-Callière museum located in the heart of Old Montreal is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year!
Known for its national archaeological and historical site, the museum displays centuries worth of artifacts dating back from the settlements of our First Peoples to modern day. Having opened its doors on May 17, 1992, the museum will be celebrating its 30th anniversary, at the same time as Montreal’s 380th anniversary!
According to The Montreal Gazette, “The museum is rolling out a host of activities to mark its 30th anniversary, including a special membership rate and a new exhibition of 400 favourite items from its permanent collection.”
Having opened on February 24th, the ‘Favourites! Our Collections on Display’ exhibition will include around 400 objects that will help paint a detailed picture of Montreal’s culture and history.
In addition, the museum will be offering the public a special membership rate of only $30... As part of their anniversary, of course!
