Montreal rapper and professor at Concordia University, Yassin Alsalman (or Narcy), will be teaching a brand new course this fall covering all things Kanye West.

Having taught courses on major hip hop artists like Lauryn Hill, A Tribe Called Quest, and more, Alsalman will be taking his lecture to a whole new level with this new course entitled, ‘Kanye vs. Ye: Genius by Design’.

According to Narcy’s recent Instagram post, “This class isn’t only about Kanye. It’s about community, creativity, responsibility, accountability, fame and mental health, dreams and nightmares - and more importantly, self-actualisation.”

Inspiring Fine Arts students since 2013, Alsalman is exciting to be offering students a fresh new perspective on the artist. According to the class description, students will learn about the evolution of his genius, and will explore the concept of “Kanyetive Dissonance”.

Students can get information on the class description and enrollment requirements at the Fine Arts department’s page on Concordia University’s website here.
