It’s time to remove your winter tires!

As of Wednesday, March 16th, Quebec car owners can officially switch their winter tires to summer or all-season tires.

In Quebec, it is mandatory that all cars have winter tires as of December 1st to March 15th. While legally you are now allowed to switch your tires, the government is advising otherwise.

According to Global News, “When the outside temperature is 7 C or less, summer and all-season tires provide less road grip than winter tires.”

Seeing that Quebec is expected to see more snow in the coming weeks, the government is advising that drivers hold off until they make the complete switch… Especially that switching your winter tires to summer or all-season is not compulsory.

Will you be removing your winter tires?
