Montreal was the place to be this weekend for celebrity sightings in the city.
This past weekend, Montreal’s very first hip-hop festival, Metro Metro, featured big-name artists like 50 Cent, Tory Lanez, DaBaby, Trippie Redd, and so much more. But, one name that wasn’t originally mentioned on the bill that made an appearance was none other than Champagne Papi himself… Drake!
Having made a surprise appearance during rapper Lil Baby’s headlining set on Saturday, Montrealers were completely shocked to see Toronto’s very own make his way to the stage. Having joined forces with Lil Baby to sing their hit songs “Girls Want Girls” and “Wants and Needs”, he later surprised fans with songs like “Way 2 Sexy” and “Headlines”.
While the energy from Saturday night’s show couldn’t be more electrifying, Drake continued to shock and surprise fans at various locations across the city.
Crescent’s very own Ziggy’s Pub, “[An] unpretentious watering hole with a cheery vibe offering standard drinks & sports on TV” as describe on Google, was shocked to receive Champagne Papi as one of their guests this past Sunday.
The pub shared a post on social media featuring the rapper and Ziggy Eichenbaum on Monday with the caption, “Just another Sunday night at Ziggy's!”.
As one Instagram user put it, “[This is] the most underrated post on Instagram.”
While so many people were surprised to see the worldwide superstar hanging out at such a lowkey spot like Ziggy’s, it makes us love him all that more.
