Looks like Montreal is going to be the place to be this summer!

After a very long two years of having little to no tourists visiting the city due to the various restrictions put in place from the pandemic, it’s about time we celebrate our city’s amazing culture.

With events like Osheaga, Just For Laughs, Grand Prix, Montreal’s Jazz Festival, and so much more, Montreal can expect a swarm of tourists from all over the world and country.

In fact, tourism officials say that it looks like the city can expect nearly eight million visitors this summer… A very close number in comparison to 2019’s eleven million total visitors.

Glenn Castanheria shared with Global News that, “Tourisme-Montréal has noticed an incredible increase in searches for flights to Montreal, and on their website to know the programming to know what’s happening in the city.”

While this year might not break any records in terms of visitor numbers, we sure can expect a lot more new faces exploring the Montreal streets this summer… And we truly cannot wait!
