After two very, very long years of being stuck inside, people are more than ready to pack their bags and start travelling again. And we honestly don’t blame them!
While the possibilities are endless when it comes to choosing a destination, many Canadians often forget about the beauty found within our very own country. From the beautiful mountains in Alberta, to the gorgeous beaches in Prince Edward Island… Canada has so many wonderful travel destinations to offer.
According to Travel and Leisure, there is a running list of cities in Canada that have been the most popular destinations for travel this summer… And Quebec made top of the list!
Coming in at number 1 is Quebec City: “To many readers, visiting this city — now in its seventh year at No. 1 — feels like being in Europe, with its churches, cobblestoned streets, and many languages (including French, of course) being spoken.”
To no surprise, Montreal came in second! With our many festivals, events, food and culture… It really is the place to be in the summertime!
Falling behind Quebec City and Montreal include:
- Victoria, British Columbia
- Banff, Alberta
- Halifax, Nova Scotia
