Gisele Bündchen has “no desire” to make a return to the catwalk.

The Brazilian supermodel, who landed contracts with the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, and David Yurman at the height of her fashion career, stepped away from the runway in 2015.

Gisele made an exception when she appeared at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016, but she has now ruled out any further similar gigs.

“There’s never going to be a moment or a runway like that,” she said in an interview for the October 2022 issue of ELLE, referring to the iconic moment at Maracanã Stadium.

“Believe me, every year (designers) ask, ‘Please, Gisele, do the runway,’” the star continued, before insisting she has “no desire” to do so.

While Gisele still appears in some fashion campaigns and photoshoots, her real passion is environmental advocacy.

She has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program since 2009 and often promotes projects assisting in the planting of trees across the Amazon rainforest.

“Most of the media chooses to focus on things that are negative, so if you are tuning into that frequency, you feel hopeless,” the 42-year-old continued. “My intention is to bring hope, to bring the possibilities, to show the beauty - to say, ‘Hey, we’re living in heaven, right here.’”
