Looks like Montrealers will have the chance of a lifetime to see Jupiter in the sky on Monday as it will be the closest it's ever been to Earth in 60 years.

Calling all stargazers, this is one opportunity you don’t want to miss… The solar system’s biggest planet will be in plain sight once it reaches opposition.

“This happens because Earth and Jupiter do not orbit the Sun in perfect circles – meaning the planets will pass each other at different distances throughout the year,” according to NASA. “Jupiter’s closest approach to Earth rarely coincides with opposition, which means this year’s views will be extraordinary.”

We promise this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, so make sure to sit outside or by your window to peak outside tonight!
