Looking to lower your credit card bill charges? Netflix Canada is here to help.

Earlier this week, Netflix Canada announced that they would be lowering their subscription charges to Canadian subscribers, in exchange for commercial breaks.

Currently, Netflix charges Canadian subscribers between $9.99 and $20.99, depending on the package you have selected. Once this new campaign goes live, subscribers will pay $5.99 per month.

According to CBC, “In exchange for the savings, Netflix says subscribers will sit through an average of four to five minutes of ads per hour to be played before and during their TV shows and films.”

Additionally, the option to download movies and TV shows to watch remotely will not be available with the new feature… So, you’ll just have to resort to reading a book on the plane this time around.

This new subscription option will be available in Canada as of November 1, 2022.

Is this something you would consider?
