Time to turn back your clocks: Daylight saving time is ending this weekend

This weekend daylight saving time is ending.. That time of year where everyone needs to turn their clocks backwards, to prepare for the dark winter season ahead, *sigh*.

On Sunday, November 5th at 2:00:00 am, the clocks will go back one hour to Sunday, November 5th at 1:00:00 am local standard time.

Why do we even do this you ask?

The reason behind why we end daylight savings is simple, according to the Live Science website:

“[...] Those who do observe DST take advantage of the natural daylight in the summer evenings. That's because the days start to get longer as Earth moves from the winter season to spring and summer, with the longest day of the year on the summer solstice. During the summer season in each hemisphere, Earth, which revolves around its axis at an angle, is tilted directly toward the sun.”

So, there you have it!
