On Saturday night's Montreal Habs game against the Pittsburg Penguins, a very special guest was introduced to Youppi! and all of Montreal... METAL!
Yep, there's a new mascot in town!
According to The Montreal Canadiens official press release, "The Club has confirmed that METAL! intends to be the unofficial official mascot of its upcoming Reverse Retro series of games, which begins Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils."
In a very dramatic announcement made during the game's first intermission, Youppi! was given a rather splendid surprise before all of Montreal:
