Rolling Stone just came out with their top worst moments in music history. Everything from Elvis turning down major movie roles to Adam Levine’s DMs… Many mistakes have been made over the years in the music industry.

But, out of Rolling Stone’s list of 50 contenders, here were some of our favourite worst moments:

Adam Levine slides into the DMs (2022)

2022 pretty much blew up in Adam Levine’s face when a viral TikTok revealed his DMing habits with women other than his wife. Big mistake, buddy.

Justin Timberlake rips off Janet Jackson’s top at the Super Bowl, and she’s the one who faces a backlash (2004)
One of the most controversial moments in Halftime history… And all of the blame was mishandled. The world seriously owes Janet a huge apology.

Britney Spears turns down “Umbrella” (2007)
One of the biggest songs of 2007 (and all-time), Britney Spears totally dropped the ball on this one. But hey, Rihanna killed it!

Scooter Braun pisses off Taylor Swift (2019)
When Scooter Braun purchased Taylor Swift’s master recordings, he clearly had no idea what plan she had hiding up her sleeve.

Ashlee Simpson plays ‘SNL’ when she probably should’ve called in sick (2004)
This mistake is likely her claim to fame, and will be forever. Note to self: always call in sick.

Ja Rule invests in the Fyre Festival (2017)
One of the biggest facepalm moments in music festival history. Just watch the Netflix documentary to know what we’re talking about.

Kayne West kicks off his “total a**hole” era by interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMAs (2009)
Stealing the mic from Taylor Swift mid-speech was literally the tip of the iceberg. We just didn’t know it yet.
