To Rolling Stone Magazine’s Editor in Chief,
As Céline fans from around the world, we wish to convey to you our greatest incomprehension at the absence of this incredible singer from your list of the 200 greatest singers of all time.
Based on your selection criteria, we consider that Céline Dion has had an immense influence on the pop music scene for more than 30 years and that her musical catalog is rich and diversified. Her musical heritage is undeniable.
It is also because of these qualities that she has been able to taste a rare level of success, with 27 albums selling over 200 million copies worldwide, 7 Grammy Awards received, and 1141 shows performed in front of more than 4.5 million fans in Las Vegas. Her performances, her absolute devotion to her art and to her fans, as well as her social involvement all make her an artist admired and respected by her peers.
All Rythme radio stations in Quebec speak for Céline fans around the world and invite you to rectify this unfortunate omission by including Céline Dion in the list of the 200 greatest singers.
