Last week, the streaming pioneer Netflix announced that it would stop free password sharing beyond users' household in the coming months. In other words, Netflix users will only be able to use the account within their own property.
The decision was made by Netflix after seeing effects on their investments. The sharing of passwords to others, such as friends or distanced family, 'impacts their ability to invest in great new TV and films for their members'.
The streaming platform plans to roll out paid-sharing, which allows users to add a 'sub-account, for an additional 3$ per month, starting March 31st.
