Black History Month officially kicked off last week! The month of February is a time to honour our Black Canadian and Montreal communities and to celebrate their culture.
Montreal's programming for the event has officially been revealed, and Montrealers can expect a loooot of cool activities! From February 8th to 12th, make sure you check out these cultural events across the city:
Nuits d'Afrique Concerts
Enjoy six special concerts from the Fetsival International Nuits d'Afrique presented by TD!
Hit the movies!
In theatres across the city, enjoy films like 'Blue Note Records: Beyond The Notes', 'The Myth of the Black Woman' and 'The Blaxploitation Years'.
Fade to Black
In this event at Montreal's Grande Bibliothèque, attend a discussion between Montreal Black Film Festival's Founder Fabienne Colas and former Deputy Premier of Quebec and former leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Dominique Anglade.
