Today marks one week since the tragic city bus incident involving a daycare in Laval. In honour to pay tribute and remember the victims and their families, bus drivers in the Greater Montreal Area showed their compassion.

A minute of silence was held this morning by the bus drivers from the Réseau de transport de Longueil (RTL), the Société de transport de Laval (STL) and the Société de transport de Montreal (STM). Certain front-line workers also ceased operations during this minute of silence.

“The entire large STL family has been greatly shaken by these events and this minute of silence is a way for our employees to gather and express their solidarity with those who have been affected by this tragedy,” said Josée Roy, general manager of the STL, in an interview with Global News.
